So you maybe looking to purchase a cheaper plan because money is tight. Sprints offer may seem reasonable, but when you dive deeper you truly find out what makes the wireless carrier #4. It is the hidden fees. Sure, you get Unlimited Data service for a year, but that does not help with the fact that Sprint has dug their own hole for a long time. It is not like sprint is a brand new carrier trying to build its customer base. A Company that had been the #1 carrier during the 90’s for business users, quickly lost its customer base because of extremely poor customer service, hidden fees, and scams just like this one.
Sprint is struggling and they are struggling mightily. No amount of free stuff can fix the internal issues that run deep within the company. It takes looking at the most popular brand in america “Nextel” during that time to see how horrible they really are at what they do. Nextel was one of the fastest growing companies in America. Sprint seeing this competition purchased them in 2005 and you never heard of nextel again. It was one of the worst mergers in the history for Telecommunications.
When you even look at their commercials, they are unoriginal and poorly made. I mean signing the Verizon “can you hear me now guy”? Really!? Come on Sprint, you can’t even get your own spokesperson to build your brand? You are essentially trying to display yourself as if you are Verizon and are failing miserably at it. No amount of stealing from verizon marketing will ever make customers believe that you are even worth going with. If you are shady enough to steal their marketing, you are shady enough to screw your customers. Which is what they have done since their inception.
Even when sprint steals their marketing, Verizon always has a much clever commercial to shut them down. Even In the video below you can see just how Verizon is a better marketing company than sprint and they sure enjoy taking subtle jabs at the holes in sprint argument of “being the same”. Sprint on the other hand makes it obvious that they have no idea what the hell they are doing.
Don’t let the Free Unlimited Data fool you. If you are with Verizon stay with verizon. If you are looking to truly save money, go with AT&T or Tmobile trust me it will save you the headaches of having to cancel your service with sprint mid plan, because you discovered what makes the worst company with the lowest customer satisfaction rate of all the other three companies. They can say they have improved, but if that were the case consumers would be knocking down their doors to be a part of the company, the way T-mobile actually changed.
I repeat do not fall for this Free Unlimited Scam from Sprint, it is exactly that, a way to boost their numbers for investors to show growth. Let the company die a slow painful death, the way it did to nextel, which was a great company that suffered at the hands of this giant.
If you want Unlimited Data and don’t have any problems with your current carrier then upgrade to their Unlimited Data plans. Their are not as many restrictions on those plans. Sprint on the other hand is running a bait and switch, and you will pay dearly for it in the end.
The free unlimited data plans from sprint have hidden “administrative fees” and other fees that are retarted. If you are going to offer something for free. Just offer it for free sprint. It is not that hard.
